Veltre works with a prominent and diverse group of companies and individuals in the film, television, digital content and publishing arenas, helping them create books, TV shows, and films. His clients include: media companies, writers, filmmakers, literary agents/managers, academics, historians, journalists, best-selling and prize-winning novelists, sports figures, TV personalities, celebrities, and business and military leaders.
Prior to Gersh, he held senior positions in the feature film industry, as director of development for Miramax Films, and in the publishing world. As a senior editor at HarperCollins, he acquired quality non-fiction by journalists, historians, business leaders and academics. Prior to that, he oversaw the mystery imprint at St. Martin’s Press, and acquired literary and commercial fiction, thrillers, narrative non-fiction, and sports books. He also served as the foreign & film rights director for Carlisle & Company (now InkWell Mgmt), before launching his own successful agency.
He graduated from Emory University with a B.A. in English and attended the graduate English program at the University of Alabama, where he taught literature and writing. Veltre is from Cartersville, Georgia and now lives in New York City.
Allison Cohen is a literary agent at The Gersh Agency. She got her start in publishing at Random House before moving over to the agency side of the business where she worked for a boutique literary agency. Prior to that, Allison worked at TV Guide. Allison enjoys the freedom of working with authors across all genres – from picture books and YA to literary and commercial adult fiction and non-fiction – and is always on the lookout for new voices. Her clients include journalists, award-winning novelists, sports figures, TV/film actors, comedians, illustrators, and chefs.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Allison now lives in New York City. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.A. in English and a minor in History and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa.
Rachel Zeidman is a live booking/public appearance agent in the New York office of The Gersh Agency, where she represents a wide variety of talent from Broadway stars and comedians to renowned speakers from all walks of entertainment such as film, television, theatre, and books. Her clients have performed in all corners of the United States, and internationally in such countries as England, Australia, and China. Rachel joined Gersh in January of 2009 after working at the William Morris Agency in the highly regarded Agent Trainee Program directly out of college. Rachel hails from Long Island, New York and graduated with honors from Boston University’s College of Communication with a degree in Film and Television.
Alice Lawson has been at The Gersh Agency since February 2012. She graduated from Kenyon College with a degree in English. Originally from Washington D.C., Alice now calls Brooklyn home. She serves as a liasion between Gersh clients in all departments and the publishing community. She represents books for film and publishing and is a particular fan of narrative non-fiction.
